Jenny Kaluza Pottery

I first started learning the art of ceramics in high school but really fell in love with it in college. I enjoy all types of pottery but my favorite is wheel work. All of my work is made by hand using white, red, or speckled stoneware clays. All pieces are fired to cone 5 in my electric kiln and are microwave, oven, and dishwasher safe. I like art to be usable and accessible. I figure that if you're going to have a bowl it might as well be a pretty one! Each piece is a unique, one-of-a-kind artwork.

Throwing pottery allows for a lot of quiet time that I use to pray. This art would not be possible without God steadying my hands. I am ever aware that I am the clay in the relationship and He is the potter. Over the years I began to see that God was using this art to teach me about Himself and His ways. I have written a ten week Bible study that follows the formation of a pot and shows how every part of that process points to a similar truth in the Bible. All of the video sessions are available to watch on this website. If you have any questions please contact me. Have a great day.

In His Hands,
